8 & 18 year old me lived in survival mode, and 8 year old me was filled with wonder at all I've done and accomplished. Enthralled by my kids. In wonder about the life I live. Proud of the firm boundaries I have with family.

18 year old me, hardened by another ten years of survival, was much more judgemental, but also impressed. I haven't reached all the goals I set for myself then. My career path is different. My husband isn't who I expected it to be.

80 year old me was filled with pride and joy. I have a beautiful life. Beautiful, sweet, kind, loving, smart children. A caring and adoring husband. We don't have everything I set out to accomplish (yet), but we have what matters.
