The 9-to-5 grind traps most of us on an endless hamster wheel, leaving zero bandwidth to stop and realize: the people we voted to represent us are screwing us over, and we actually deserve way better.

This is my second maternity leave, and once again it’s been a total eye-opener. Same thing happened the first time and during every gap between jobs—when life finally slows down, you see everything clearly.
