Any idea how many wallets play nice with it? I assume it isn't a Coinos only thing.

There are several PWAs and several apps that target android (minibits), and some that target both ios and android (enuts). The wallet is completely independent of the mint, cashu ecash is a protocol not a platform, so you can connect many wallets to the same mint and move the balance between wallets BUT the balance is IN THE WALLET not in some kind of account that can be shared between devices. Its kind of the opposite model of bitcoin. Only one wallet at a time can hold a token (or claim) for bitcoin on a mint, unless you issue a token from your wallet to send and it remains unclaimed. In that case, the new token is reclaimable by the wallet and the sats "exist" anywhere the token is. If you email or SMS the token, any copy of the token could be claimed. Once its claimed by a wallet, the mint balance is maintained in the wallet until you create a new token to send.

A fairly good list of wallets is on this website: https://bitcoinscoresby.com/ecash/

Personally I use minibits and 0xChat. My kids use cashu.me in their browser.

I just tried the coinos cashu wallet. Its not a typical ecash wallet, only supports swaps to their mint, and even that is broken. I wouldnt recommend it.

Thanks. I just was checking it out on the LN side and saw the ecash stuff. The LN transactions I have done seem to work well. Thanks for all the ecash info, and the heads up on coinos.

Does that wallet you use for ecash on Android work with NWC?

Yes, minibits supports nwc and thats how i zap on nostr. Its amazing, never need to start app, always works in background!
