Same - I love food too much for that lol
My sense is that those kinds of side effects are rare now - the earlier versions of Covid messed people up a lot worse - but I don’t actually know for sure

I had it for the first time a couple months ago now. At the tail end right before I stopped testing positive I lost smell and taste for ~5 days. I was more upset about that than actual COVID. 😅
Ooof, that’s brutal! Definitely hoping to avoid that bit. Sorry you had to deal with that!
