You are missing the part where most of the PCR positives were asymptomatic , meaning they had no symptoms at all , and were very unlikely to spread it to anyone , but that meaningless metric was used to shut entire countries down and imprison people in their homes .

Understandable.
I believe better scientists with better tools and better legislators following more rigorous data and metrics, will eventually lead to better management of pandemics.
It will be good to shed light on those doing it right.
