Block 817573 was just mined empty of transactions ⚡️

My understanding is that this is very rare, where a miner finds a block in a matter of seconds, before even receiving the set of transactions to mine.

Cool to catch in real time? Or not that unusual?

My understanding is that sometimes a miner solves a block so quickly (1-2 seconds), the actual details of pending transactions for that block haven’t arrived yet. So they mine a the block with an empty “template” and earn the block reward (but 0 miner fees), and then everyone begins working on the next block right away.
