Yes, we need to use the approved exchanges only. I suspect if we don't, in near future we would not be able to exchange Bitcoin for our Fiat in the name of anti money laundering.
They will use exchanges to tax us with law. But at least I can easily have my liquidity.
Self Custody will at least give us power to decide where to live if we don't like what our country rules.
