With Fountain, you're putting your private Nostr key in a closed source mobile app, served to you by the censorship oppressors Google and Apple. They use the word "open" on their website, but their github doesn't have the code itself: https://github.com/fountain-fm

--Surveillance of who is listening
--Leeching Bitcoin fees for RSS feeds and Nostr, which are both peer-to-peer without Fountain
You're being manipulated to reject real solutions like Arweave RSS, so these institutions can maintain power and control.
I love #fountain simply because I can login with nostr .. thats is welcome things .. frankly rest of the privacy doesn't matter if you sign in with anonymous/ psudonymous nostr identity ..
Yes - they charge 10 sats for comments .. why not ? Dev is not free ..
As for the fees - I guess you should hate #bitcoin too because there is a transaction fees ðŸ˜..
As for open source - it is a developer prerogative.. as much as yours to use the app or not .. but it is NOT a crime - just another type of licence..
In fact pushing the "open source" down everyone's throat is hate ..
Does fountain let you use external NIP-46 signing devices for logging in? Because I'm not giving my nsec to a piece of closed source software.
valid concern .. I am pretty sure they would add absolute anonmity ( in the spirit of #nostr) in upcoming versions ..
Meanwhile you may use #fountain with a new nsec minted purely for #fountain .. only if you wish to ... though I highly recommend because I want to support anyone to take the first step towards #nostr .. #goodKarma :-)

Depends on what you do with the nostr account. If you got 100k followers and your entire business and social life depend on it, that's a different story than a random key you just made 5 minutes ago.
