it'd be awesome if the next skyrim version had an AI quest system that lets you change the world through your actions
talk to npcs and make them do things
form alliances or even companies, your own guild
start a mining business
take over a town, raze buildings and build new ones
yea that would be nice but its simply not going to happen.
as time progresses, dev teams get bloated with more and more diversity hires that suck up all the funding while contributing nothing.
as the number of people that contribute to the project shrinks, the game costs exponentially more to make.
thats why everything feels unfinished these days.
beyond all the faggot subversion in the games themselves, this cancer within development is whats truly killing the games industry.
