The distortion of values in the ethical sense is deeply rooted in the distortion of value in the financial sense — money.

Creating funny money out of thin-air breeds a lack of accountability and by its nature it drives perverse incentives throughout the entire system.

This is the default setting in our world today.

The counter to this is the value vacuum which is Bitcoin.
