I see hallucinogens more a tools to realise there is more to life than the one we are currently experience with our 5 basic senses (touch, smell, taste, sight, hear). Too much of something is also a bad thing where the devil takes possession of you. People who smoke too much weed and do magic shrooms can end suffering from psychosis and schizophrenia.

It’s very clear in the world of God to NOT the love things in this world as its idolatry. You should only worship the Most High.
