Jeff, if I still have your attention, may I humbly ask a question?

Let's suppose that you're correct and technology frees people. Bitcoin wins the day, deflation, etc. What do people do if they don't have to work?

Or, a better question might be, if we have nothing to push against will we atrophy as people?

If we don't tear each other apart on the way there, I just envision a modern Brave New World where people are constantly getting high on whatever technology provided Soma exists at the time (we have this in one form in Tiktok) because we will struggle to find meaning. I struggle to imagine a future where we all work 10 hours a week and play ultimate frisbee and do yoga.

Put simply, I worry a lot about exponential nihilism.

It’s worth noting that your question doesn’t change the facts: namely - the other path is modern day slavery only working because you have been convinced by a small group of people that control money.

But to your question - I believe the human mind will always find problems to solve and further out….mind and machine will merge (even though that thought may leave you wanting to push back on it)

That’s a great point - doesn’t change the facts. Thanks for taking the time to respond. Keep fighting the good fight! I plan to read your book again this summer to try to dig into it deeper.
