What is the best way to grow your circle here though? Many of my initial “followers” appear to be bots. What’s the best way to get yourself out there to get those interactions? Tags? Tagging people?

While true, be aware what the hashtag is for. Don't just slap #grownostr on anything to get views. The idea for the hashtag was to post content that isn't about Nostr or Bitcoin, so that folks can easily have a feed filled with a variety of other content.
