There’s a further argument that what Trump is doing is ideological and pretty anti-American. The U.S. is a country that has a record of profiting from war; they proved it during both World War I and World War II. Just look at the fact that Britain spent 61 years paying off its post-WWII loans to the U.S. So by stopping support and aid to Ukraine now, the U.S. is going against its own economic interest in turning a profit from conflict. So this isn’t about money; it’s about ideology, and that’s what truly scares me.
