after it first started to dawn on me last week, i have been drinking ~1 bottle of red wine most days, sometimes a little more than 1, because of an allergic reaction to something in the wine, i presume it's the protein gak they use to get rid of the clouding so they can sell it within a year of brewing it

the actual drinking it daily part is not obviously connected to the more obvious symptoms of diarrhea and various minor niggles, blurry vision, jangled nerves, but they are all part of a complex

now that i am recognising that i drink it to blot out the symptoms of the last time i drank it, i have switched over to a much more moderate consumption of somersby cider, and it works out to probably equal amount of sugar and none of this allergic reaction, but about 2/3 of the alcohol level

and i feel fine, i honestly almost didn't even buy it today, and the digestive effects are fading, so also is the appetite for the irritant

i may actually stop drinking, just because i now have noticed that it's destroying my ability to absorb nutrients, which is making me weak, causing issues with muscles and nerves and exercise recovery

i've got a bunch of exercise apps lined up on my phone, and now i am thinking about this, i'm going to upgrade them to paid if they aren't too spendy, and start actually doing them, i have 4 specific exercises i want to do, and i figure on staggering them out so it's something to look forward to every day... situps/leg lifts and pull-ups, and push-ups and squats, most likely, to get the best balance

i hope these apps are not too spensive, i think i will like what happens next

ironically, what has helped me get through this has been buying a sack of hydrolysed beef protein isolate and eating it 2-4 times a week, which i think is basically feeding my brain and everything so that the stupifying effects are pushing against a higher level of nutrition which is letting me think properly again

i think perhaps it should be said that if you have got issues with drinking also, not saying anyone does but if you do, that the malnuturition is the hardest stumbling block, i am almost certain of this now

A bottle a day is about right to slowly then suddenly fuck you up :)

Not preaching, but experience says, if you can cut alcohol out of your routine, you should find that much falls back into place.

Going through my blood readings last year, my doc was raving about my kidneys being super healthy , which, knowing my taste for wine, seemed a bit freaky. Thinking I was some freak of nature, she then asked if I ate meat and I said no. Clever so and so told me to cut down on the booze. I asked how she knew I drank a lot. Simple. Alcohol was the most likely source of excess sugar in my blood. Bollocks.

Natural wine doesn't induce hang overs and is about as healthy as an alcoholic beverage can get, but even a bottle of that every day erodes your constitution.

That's all I know! Good luck
