Hello, Nostriches! We're hunkering down for another 2 days of cold before we get a thaw. It took me about 2 hours to get the dishes done this morning (have to gradually melt the ice/snow in our camp kitchen) but the animals are doing fine and our young bull may have FINALLY figured out what to do with our heifer when she's in heat. 🐄💘

I'm encouraging people to get on Nostr but with Alby's waiting list I have to figure out another way. Any favorites? Can you connect any lightening wallet or do you actually need a node?

Yes! We've buried some buckets for the animals, and that definitely helps.

I didn't get around to doing that for our dishwater, though. An extended freeze is pretty rare for us, so this isn't an ongoing issue.
