I think it’s a matter of when, not if. It’s increasingly looking like the answer is months instead of years. $100k by end of year is only a 50% increase. Weirder things have happened. The 2025 prediction is the one I have issue with. Only a 50% increase next year would be odd, historically speaking. The year after a halving has had huge gains trough to peak. Like 4x in 2021 to 20x in 2017. If we get even half of the run that 2021 had we’re looking at $200k based on his $100k EOY prediction.

It feels to me the macro situation of the US debt problem is a lot more mainstream. A lot more people are talking about fiscal dominance. And these warnings from Powell and Yelen should be viewed from the lens of their positions in the system. The fact THEY of all people are making the comments they are should be a blaring alarm to anyone paying attention.

I would refrain from trusting everything in this article, but it's impossible for the US dollar not to collapse within, at least, the next few years, imo. And this timeframe seems to be shortening rather quickly. Based on the article, it sounds as if they're bloody well nervous that Bitcoin will become the preferred method of international transaction over the US dollar or the possibility that the BRICS currency that is being planned will replace the dollar as the global reserve currency. I know that they didn't mention that last bit at all, but they've definitely considered it.

I'm certain that BTC is NOT going to be preferred by any state. They dry not have control over it, so it cannot be used to do the dirty deeds that they wish to do with monetary systems.

That's exactly why I said not to trust everything in the article. I just said what the article was trying to proclaim. What I believe is that it's trying to turn people against Bitcoin and convince the populace that staying away from it will, somehow, help increase the strength of the dollar.

I think the BRICs countries want to weaken the dollar's hegemony further. There isn't much good competition, as the euro is trash abs the pound hasn't be relevant for a long while, either.

I expect a new currency to be minted digitally for that purpose.

Yea, definitely. I'm not sure what kind of compromise they'll end up reaching, if it even reaches that point. I don't think it will. I think things will collapse FAAARRR quicker than we all expect.

To be frank, I think this need to have complete control over the global reserve currency will be the end of all these sadists. Eventually things will go too far—like if the UK's plan for conscription gets implemented—and everyone will lose it. Perhaps, martial law will end up waking people the fuck up. 🤷‍♂️

It will wake up some people, but not others. It will come down to a small, dedicated group, as usual.

And I do think you're correct. A complex system like that is bound to fail.

Damn! I'm up way too late again! 😅

Goodnight folks! 👋🌚
