The British built a raft where they will hold more than 500 illegal immigrants who are waiting for the completion of their processes for obtaining political asylum.

The UK had very lax immigration and asylum policies, resulting in waves of illegal immigration of tens of thousands of people every year.

Basically, it was enough to enter the country illegally, ask for political asylum and start receiving government funds that could extend for years until the asylum process is completed, but Rishi Sunak, the current British Prime Minister, radically changed this law and now anyone who enters the UK illegally will not be able to apply for political asylum and will be extradited.

Note: Rishi Sunak is the son of Indians who immigrated to the UK in the 1960s.
