I wonder what happened to X-59 🤨

It’s been over a year already and no news of first flight. Meanwhile, Boom just had their 10th flight.

Did the taxpayer get rugged?

For those who don’t know, X-59 is a concept hypersonic plane for Lockheed + NASA colab that’s supposed to put us back on track to hypersonic travel. There was an issue with the sonic boom and this is supposed to resolve it. I don’t know how they’re going to deal with the costs though …. Or safety. This thing doesn’t even have a front window.
