The #AI Could Threaten #Monero. An Uncertain Future.

My idea with this post is not to generate FUD but to alert the possible uses of AI to prevent attacks, which could even bring unexpected consequences on the privacy of the network.

This is amplified because there will be some developers who will be tempted to implement AI in Monero because of the great efficiency that the technology provides.

Let's take a look at some of the risks.

—While AI could help identify suspicious activity on the Monero network, such as DDoS, there is also a risk that AI could do the following.

—Seeking mining optimization and automation through AI could lead to hashrate centralization.

—An L2 could be built to enable AI-managed smart contract programming and sending transactions through bridges connecting the two layers, as an attack vector to transfer assets in an unsecured way, compromising the portability and operability of the network.

In short, these are just a few examples that come to mind, and of course there are more.

The idea, as I said is to alert developers to be prepared.

The problem is not change but the speed of change that does not allow adaptation to preserve the status.
