the world been innundated with blockchain-related hype for years now, and nearly every single high profile product has been a pump and dump scheme (or riddled with scams, breaches, etc). its no surprise that when the average person finds out “the nostr crowd is very excited about digital currency microtransactions” it sets off alarm bells. it is a sane and reasonable reaction.
