Such terrible news out of DC with the plane/helicopter collision as they report no survivors this morning. I hope no one on here was directly affected. 💜

Shows us again how incapable we humans can be from time to time. I hope that they can recover all of the bodies.
It’s humbling to say the least. They’re reporting right now that they’ve recovered 28 bodies. There were a total of 64 on the passenger jet and 3 on the helicopter, so a lot still to be recovered.
Very sad
I am not sure how to feel. I changed my flight two days ago with American airline. I am pretty sure I looked into one flying through DC. I can't quite think about it straight. Especially as I caught myself feeling fear creep in and calling on Archangel Michael on my flight to protect me and this plane. It's a little nerve-racking to land and read of such news.
A military helicopter in civilian airspace?
This thing smells fishy as shit.
An accident is stubbing your toe.
A mid-air collision is not an accident. It’s either gross incompetence (DEI) or purposeful negligence.
Sounds like the military helicopter was not unusual for that area. Seems reasonable considering the area. Best case scenario is it’s negligence that can be learned from for the future. Purposeful would raise a whole different set of questions/issues.
Very sad to hear.... I go with gross incompetence. Feels very Atlas Shrugged, infrastructure failure vibes to me... signs of a failing society. 😢
When everything depends on software, you don't need the pilot to be in on it.
