If you're drinking wine instead of water I don't think what you are pursuing can be called happiness, I think alcoholism is more about escaping sadness than finding happiness.
That said no judgement to each their own, if my body could handle being drunk all the time I'd probably be an alcoholic but the stuff just makes me feel like crap.
