USAID missions worldwide have been told to shut down. Thousands of staff members are being recalled to the US.

New USAID Deputy Admin Peter Marocco told State Dept leadership today if they didn’t do it they’d be evacuated by the military, per sources

1,400 people will be notified Tuesday, on top of about 600 who were placed on leave Sunday night.
