Texas national guard has been putting up razor wire on the border to stop illegal crossings. Biden wanted federal border patrol to cut down the wire. Texas said no. Biden admin asked Supreme Court for emergency ruling on whether they could cut down the wire. Supreme Court said they’re allowed to cut it down (they did not rule on whether or not Texas can keep putting it up - this is a key point many are misunderstanding). Texas governor said they’re going to continue putting up the wire, and wrote a letter citing a clause in the constitution saying states are allowed to defend themselves from an invasion. 25 other governors wrote a letter saying they support Texas and some have sent their own national guard to help the Texas national guard secure the border. Biden gave them an ultimatum to take down the razor wire today or he was gonna send federal agents to do it. The deadline passed and the Biden admin did nothing.
