The thing I hate most about Amazon is what it’s done to local retail stores. I’ve had so many times in the last few months where I go to get a very basic thing from a store, but they no longer stock these items.

Store shelves are almost never full anymore and the quality/quantity is nowhere near what it used to be.

It will take time, but they'll end up like Airbnb.

And the prices even with Prime are often no better than buying the items from the companies directly. I avoid Amazon as much as possible but the only benefit I see to it at this point is finding some things there that are very hard to find elsewhere.
