Recommended Reading

Starting a thread here for folks to post any recommended books or even lists of recommended reading. My last post about The Almanack of Naval Ravikant linked to his list of recommended reading and I think it would be interesting to see what others also recommend...

KGB - Komitet Gozudarstvenoy Bezopaznosti

twas the very first political book I've read at age 8, but I was never able to find it in any bookstore, online or otherwise. it's all about the Kremlin's KGB and it's inner workings - really dark but you'll learn a lot if you can find it

The Art of War,

by Sun Tzu

my bible since age 8

The Little Prince

by Antoine de St-Exupéry

Arabian Nights

Fairy tales are still my favorite

Yes, fairy tales!

As Einstein advised,

"if you want your children to become intelligent, read them fairy tales. if you want them to become more intelligent, read them more fairy tales"

Gitanjali

Crescent Moon

Greatest Works of Rabindranath Tagore

The Prophet

by Khalil Gibran

The Treasured Writings of Khalil Gibran

Rumi's Little Book of Life

The Garden of the Soul, the Heart, and the Spirit

by Jala al-din Rumi

Some interesting titles there! I've read the Art of War, and I just read finished reading The Prophet by Khalil Gibran yesterday. I love fairy tales as well, though I haven't read the Arabian Nights yet. I'm most familiar with the Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Andersen. I've never heard of that KGB book; I'll be on the lookout for it now... Thanks for sharing!

I love love love all Brothers Grimm stories!!

Hans Christian Andersen though is a bit boring for me lol

another awesome book:

BUSHIDO, The Soul of Japan

by

Iñazo Nitobe

I listened to a podcast with Doug Casey yesterday and two books he recommended were "The Principles of Economics" by nostr:npub1gdu7w6l6w65qhrdeaf6eyywepwe7v7ezqtugsrxy7hl7ypjsvxksd76nak and "Defending the Undefendable" by Walter Block. There was also a humorous discussion about how Saif trounced Walter in a debate about Palestine and Israel...

Where can I find the Palestine discussion?

The Palestine-Israel debate was apparently on the Bitcoin Standard podcast a few months ago. (I haven't heard it yet myself.) Here is the link:
