And to be clear I'm not saying nothing should be done. I'm saying that violence is a tool that can be wielded by people you disagree with. I don't see how you could then argue against them if you're asking for more of it in society. Do you raise a gang you agree with and go to war with them in the street? Sounds like a miserable fucking place to live to me. We don't live in the 40s anymore. We can do better and should.

Well, yes and no. If it us citizens vs. Gubment stooges? I lean more on the side of hanging traitors that abuse power. Since I will never, ever participate in civil government, I'm fairly safe from violence being used against me in that way. (I'm fairly certain that I will end up with gubment guns pointed at me and mine in the future, but that's another story.)
