There is no future where bitcoin only ends up in the hands that you or I define as non-malevolent. If I loved my homeland, then I would want to see its leaders acquiring bitcoin to stay competitive with other nations. I would also be concerned over what this kind of stance from my leaders signals about future policies that may make it harder for me to utilize my own bitcoin within the financial frameworks of my homeland. We don’t exist in a vacuum as bitcoiners and it’s stupid to pretend like we do.
