Shop class needs to be brought back to every school district that cut it out of their curriculum.

It is as vital as mathematics or biology classes.

Good for this district to bring it back!

My 2nd grader has Woodshop. She loves it, but it’s hilarious what the kids make in wood: lately there is a trend of making the wooden Nintendo Switch. LOL. Mostly she makes animals.

I made a free standing cassette tape holder for 100 cassettes for my dad. good memories

I found a handheld Sony cassette player with record, variable speed, and direction controls, quality built in recording mic, and several aux inputs/outputs.

Can’t imagine how much it cost back in the day. It was $20 🤓

Such fun tech, probably how my kid feels about phones now I suppose. So, much, fun. I was going to say “harmless fun” but who knows maybe it wasn’t harmless ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Students in my local school district have the opportunity to pursue various programs at a vocational school while taking regular classes at their high school. The vocational school also helps with job placement and/or apprenticeships after graduation.

Can we add a horticulture class too, and mandate that every school have it's own greenhouse?

I would rank horticulture and shop class on the same pedestal.

Actually, I have never heard of that class in school. Great idea!
