Thoughts on URI
First we need a URI spec for Nostr, maybe a simple NIP like BIP 21 identifying a few Nostr schemas. IIRC they don’t need to be final.
Then;
Anyone with the patience of an elephant and experience with browser’s politics willing to file tickets on Chromium, Mozilla, and Webkit/Apple's repos for “nostr:” URI? This will require a lot of wiki style politiquing. Literally hell. So a white knight is required.

Sounds like when we had to convince the OSM mods that we needed Lightning tags.
Max pain.
Because it’s not “crypto” might be easier
URIs seem inherently incompatible with the core concept of nostr which is lacks the "universal" component and separates content from location.

This would be an amazing and heroic feat indeed.
I think things changed since bitcoin but I think it’s possible. Adoption numbers and pressure help. The right white knight would help too.

This is very premature, it would take a few more years to get to that point, imho
I remember being surprised when it got in.
I’m confident Nostr can move faster. It’s not money (so the commies are more ok with it) and the fast adoption rate will put extra pressure.
The nostr: uri already works to deeplink into apps tho doesn’t it? I wrote a quick app to test it out (although only tested on Damus)
