#grapheneOS users, what is your experience like? nostr:npub17nd4yu9anyd3004pumgrtazaacujjxwzj36thtqsxskjy0r5urgqf6950x 's sharing of the article about the uncertainty of fdroid and other alternative app sites has me much more curious. #asknostr #foss

Love it. The rare inconveniences are, IMO, well worth it.
Do you have an all new phone number?
No, kept old one.
I will say this: if you have a lot of friends and family on iPhones, and if you communicate mostly over SMS, then you will have headaches.
Google started blocking custom ROMs from their RCS servers making texting (with all the bells and whistles) difficult if not impossible. This was a deal-breaker for my wife, so she's back on stock Android. "Easy" alternative would be to use Session or Signal, etc. instead.
I do some SMS, mostly for the iphone users, but I really value the conversations I have over signal.
I love it. Some things are not as functional as google maps, for example. But there are good options
For now I rarely use fdroid. It never has worked great or doesn't have what I want. Obtanium pulling from github is great. Aurora store is good when the only good option is the play store (fold app).
Google maps runs fine for me, as long as I got GPS satelites in reach
I never tried once I switched to graphene.
In some ways I like organic maps better. I like that you can download maps and use it in airplane mode. I often use it just showing my location on the map without routing, just so I can see upcoming roads
