Replying to nobody

Nostr is too "open". In an unwalled garden, normies and even a lot of plebs would like and appreciate a curated experience. Filter out the nasty stuff so it's not a bad place to hang out.

Freedom should not mean you have to see *everything and continually block stuff...

It should mean you have the power to curated the experience you want. Right know it's too technical and nuanced for the normies.

Devs, please make this happen. Make some of Nostr more clean, inviting, easy and cheerful.

This is the difference maker here.

I’m assuming you’re speaking about the Universe/ global feed. The solution might be to limit your view to those in a “trust graph”.

For instance, you trust the people you follow. You would also trust the people they follow, and so forth.

This extension of trust would allow for a sizable global feed without much spam. Someone in your trust graph would need to follow the spammer to make the content visible.
