I had actually noticed that "geeks" are not very different from "normies" when it comes down to being completely naïve about everything.

This also includes people who make (or read about) obviously impossible claims about some technology or protocol and still believe it very sincerely in their hearts.

Lol remember when google worked with power companies to install Nests across the US. There was a hardware spec. It did not include the microphones in the thermostats. Broke so many state laws but prob Fed, too.
