I got very ill, figured it might be from my diet but couldn’t figure out a pattern, had a bunch of testing, and the only thing abnormal was a high alpha-gal antibody count.

So I quit eating all mammal food, and immediately began feeling better. I also avoid airborne exposures (smoke, steam).

I still wonder if alpha-gal is the whole explanation, but knowing about it has put me on a healthier track.

You dont HAVE to have a tick byte to become allergic. Can be an accident, HLA/MHC misfiring etc. Or as said a tick byte.

Now earlier some would have guessed around and thought hm maybe less red meat - oh this works for me. Now we have tests and suddenly it is a major problem.

A Brother-in-law has Crohns. The only thing he changed was Vit D. If he worked outside as a boy/young man he wouldnt have noticed.
