Have spent the morning comically trying to get answers from the leader of a project I have been working on.
It's comic because I'm only mean to work 2 hours a day in half-hour chunks, and we are both talkers (him even more than me), he doesn't seem to grasp my new normal, and he went on an errand without saying.
So it went:
Me, 9am: Morning, can we have a chat about Project, I am confused.
Me, 9.28am: I have to go offline now, but can chat at 10am?
Him, 9.30am: I can chat now, if you like?
Me, 10am: sorry I didn't respond, I was resting, as I mentioned. Are you free now?
Me, 10.30am: I can see you're still offline. I'll pencil in a meeting at 11.30am. Now worries if you can't make it, just let me know when you are free. [His calendar showed him free all morning.]
Me, 11.30am: *enters meeting, still not sign*
Me, 11.33am: I'm around until 12 noon. Otherwise let me know when you're free.
Him, 11.38: I'm here - had to run an erand.
Me, 11.38: Are you free now? I'm in the meeting.
