After about 10 years in cybersec as my main source of income, I firmly believe that all that complexity is added artificially by either gatekeepers or those who don’t understand it enough and are afraid for their jobs.

And on the side note - I envy you a bit. Working with sound was one of my biggest passions, unfortunately on hold for far too long.

Good to know a lot of cybersec in many companies is mostly smoke and mirrors 🤣.

I'm super blessed as I really didn't work most of my life, it's just a hobby that morphed into a living.

It is. Each time I walk into a new company, I have about five basic questions. Top companies are doing three. Most are doing one, maybe one and half.

You are blessed, right. I have turned my hobby to a living as well, but it should have stayed a hobby 🤷‍♀️

That has crossed my mind many times, but it's the comfy zone for me. Nothing can compete long term really.
