Nostr isn't a success until we have journalists breaking news here that wouldn't be allowed anywhere else

And whistleblowers from within governments.
Blowing the whistle anonymously but also having cryptographic proof it was you could be very helpful in keeping you out of jail (or saving you from being hung from a lamp post).

Um no, success can't be gauged by a single purity test.
But when?
We have time :) let’s keep building
There aren’t any yet? Does anyone know?
IT'S A SUCCESS BY YOUR OWN STANDARDS, SWEET! https://primal.net/e/note14qremgdht7kpvymmaezhds2wmw42l89z0hcspjg2n4cn6ljcu5vsn0nush
(THIS IS THE JUNSETH POST)
That's just the view of nostr that is a competitor to BigTech social media.
There can be many different benchmarks of success. I'm not a fan of this "journalists breaking news" benchmark.
There's a lot more potential with nostr than the social media features.
opposition movements in autocratic countries like Russia should be all over nostr. but the awareness just isn't there at the moment
Right but more than 50% of journalists are propagandists now, they can stay on X 😅
To make it happen, privacy on nostr should be improved.
Still early but Nostr is far more than news. I agree though, that would be a success.
And censored videos on X by Supreme Court orders ( Brazilian court) and E Safety board in Australia appear only on Nostr. This is a very high bar for Nostr to pass
Remember when Matt Taibbi showed up for a minute and everyone got real excited. I guess he was a little too early and didn't get enough of a following.
No. Journalists are scum
...and content creators creating nostr first content... like wavlake! 🔥
And users with this level of enthusiasm:
“If you ban TikTok, you ban my way of life,” Firebaugh is quoted as saying in the suit.
well. we'll never know as the government can't ban us!
