I’m struggling with this, I feel a want to be a part of a community, but whenever I dip my toes into the waters of the group I find myself reminded why I prefer to be an outsider.

Not sure which group you're referring to but I think most people in bitcoin/Nostr feel like an outsider deep down. It comes with the fringe.

Any group I join or visit. It doesn’t matter where. In bitcoin I feel like an outsider as an atheist/centrist. In the yo-yo community I feel like an outsider as a capitalist/rationalist. In my physical/family community I feel like an outsider because of science. I might was well grab two bundles of shingles or smash my bottle to scare off the socs 😂
