mother moment: despite my hyper independence, i am also hyper aware i am not independent at the moment because of my leg. my 13 year old daughter has taken over the house like a drill sergeant, bossing around the dogs, organizing the amazon delivery, and making me tea/coffee and food. all the years of making her snack plates - she just showed up in the living room with this and a hot tea and kissed my forehead and said she was taking out the trash and would feed the dogs. this is a child who has no chores, but understands rhythm of our home and she has intuited what makes the rhythm if i am not able to do it. 🧣
