I fear this is going to be the cause of WWIII. There is no way the US is going to allow the Digital Dollar to be replaced by the Digital Yuan as the world reserve currency without a fight. Sadly WWIII is probably going to be fight over CBDCs.

Well, the United States regime-changed Libya and Iraq for similar reasons.
For sure:
In 2000 Saddam Hussein announced his intention to take oil payments in Euros. Then the Iraq war happened in 2003.
In the mid 2000’s Muammar Gaddafi announced plans for a gold backed currency for Africa. Then in 2011 he was killed in a NATO air strike.
2023 Putin and Xi move to replace the petrodollar with the Yuan. Then…???
The difference being these two countries actually have nuclear weapons.
