Reposting as it's, imo, a great documentary. For those who weren't around in the late 80s/early 90s it's a solid examination of the trajectory that the internet took as it grew. For those that are old enough, a good reminder of the forces that shaped where our internet got to and the players who got it there.

Question is how the protocol nostr is able to grow and resist the "commodification" of our interactions.

i don't think that per se the commodification of interactions is a problem, it's the harvesting of this data without due compensation, and the deliberate manipulation of the data to manipulate the people.

true data, number one, and direct compensation for input, number two.

both are inherent properties of the nostr/lightning combo.
