People started getting fat with lots of chronic diseases in the 1980's and after. Lots more processed foods, available all the time in much bigger quantities. Our grandparents (for the most part) were healthier than current generations without being carnivore, they just in general ate much less food (and usually less processed). I'm not opposed to carnivore, I just don't think it's necessary.
Whatever you eat, I would especially avoid seed oils. This is what brought me to carnivore
