Nostr is a protocol that can have any reasonable culture bootstrapped on it. If they don't see building on it to be worthwhile or stocking around to create their own communities, then either we don't have enough development on community features or, more likely, they're losers and they never cared that much about nostr anyway.

So what is it you want to do, build a bridge to nostr through bitchat? Because I like that idea. However if you're just giving up on nostr being anything but a Bitcoiner cult, you're wrong.

Hey bub, not to interfere in conversation but I think your wrong too....

Can you please show me a nostr client that doesn't have anything to do with zaps or bitcoin?

That's a fallacy. You don't need to use the bitcoin features in the app.

Wait, I thought nostr WASNT going to be a bitcoin cult though? But not even one client doesn't have anything to do with zaps or bitcoin?

NOT EVEN ONE! ?

Interesting....

There was a tally an Amethyst clone that had Monero ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Garnet. I remember.

I saw the same thing. Because Monero fascinates me, I recently made nosmero.com in an effort to bring XMR zapping to nostr with a web app. I think a Solana client would also be attractive to the nostr community given its speed and low transaction fees.

Not an argument. Does not address my counter. Pathetic.

So boiled down, your argument is subliminal brainwashing doesn't work or matter basically?

And I'm supposed to respond to it and tickle your balls?

Gfy

Nostr is a bitcoin cult. And probably always will be.

Nope and you're not worth responding to, GFY back

This is the same tired argument that's been said for years here and I can't be bothered repeating the same counter arguments.

Just realised you are totally wrong and be happy with that lol

If you think that nostr is hopelessly locked as a bitcoiner club, even if we develop out community features and show them to our friends who are more interested in other things that are not bitcoin, then that is an admission that either (A) you think non-bitcoiners are just that pathetic and unwilling to join niche communities in freedom tech just because of association fallacies or (B) you don't have a fucking clue what you're talking about.

Not A

But also B is correct

However

C you are also totally wrong for reasons I can't be bothered typing out yet lol

Lol ok. Not clear at all what your argument is but I'll take it. Have a good day. Try not to people please so hard that you lose sight of what's actually a great product/technology.

I just want the capabilities for people to talk about topics they care about (besides the price of bitcoin) and for not everything to become a mush of bitcoin slogans. That's it lol

This is why bitchat is actually exciting as a covert nostr client.

That's what I want too dumbass. We're on the same page there. n/ communities plus bitchat plus other user friendly clients are the best candidates to help bring people in. But you get hung up on your assumptions and don't see where we agree.

Or (C) you are deliberately trying to prevent non-bitcoiners from discovering what good nostr can do for them.

They come, they quickly leave. They state their complaints,( the ones who bother). No one listens to them lol. Repeat.

I listen. I suggested a fix. n/ communities. Badly need more usage and development.
