I concur. It's equal parts sad and disgusting. That doesn't mean they won't make money with it though. Remember that the horizon of a VC is three years. That's the calculation they're making.

This will be a massive failure, much like Humane was and the Apple Vision Pro has been too.

People don’t want this wearable shit. The one consumer wearable that would actually be useful is real-time voice translation but that’s not sexy enough for VCs to sell some grand vision around.

No, I totally agree with you. I'm just saying that the VC's are simply buying cheap and hyping it up to a frenzy, to dump it hard in a couple of years. That's the business model.
