I have been promoting the Blockstream Jade and now JadePlus for a couple years now. I had someone ask me if the JadPlus is worth the price and this was my reply:

I think it is right in line with the pricing on the other hardware wallets. I thought the original Jade was WAY under priced. The new one is pretty sweet. Bigger screen, more functionality, the buttons/no wheel seems better, lots of other features I am digging into.

I guess it depends on your BTC goals and uses really. I think it is 100% worth it. Plus it is a new tech gadget to play with.

What value do you put on securing your Bitcoin?

No matter if you use a Jade, JadePlus, Cold Card or other hardware wallet, if you are serious about stacking and HODLing get a device, learn how to use it and secure your BTC long term. It's the least you should do.

Take 10% off a JadePlus or Jade if you use code: TheLOTSProject or just click the link:

What do you think about colloborative multisig vs doing it all on my own for my first time upgrade from single sig? Bout to order one of these soon.

How important is it to build the seedsigner myself? Is it unadvisable or a cop out to get it pre built?

I would recommend it simply because it’s easy and you can get away with cheaper builds, but there’s reputable vendors as well as buying directly from https://btc-hardware-solutions.square.site/

You can see how it’s put together and buy a new pi zero board for $10 and swap it if you really want to down the road.

It’s airgapped so nothing leaves the device without you wanting it to, and you can roll 99 dice and compare the results in other vendors with the seedsigner as well.

The options are endless and really depend on your knowledge level, willingness to learn, willingness to test things out, how much time and effort you want to put in. JadePlus/Jade are an easy button for beginners and provides adequate security for your stack. I guess it is really an individual choice.
