Podcasters often say that dollar stablecoin adoption will help Bitcoin, too. Same blockchain technology but I don’t see the linkage. Do they say that just because more people will have digital wallets and will know how to use them, and the assumption is they’ll also use Bitcoin (vs. shitcoining first), or is there some mechanical, financial reason I don’t understand?
I guess when we get to Bitcoin-backed stablecoins it would certainly help Bitcoin demand. Saylor’s new Stretch (STRC) preferred is kind of a proto-Bitcoin-backed stablecoin.
Also, WTF is with Bukele becoming a President for Life? Bitcoiners should be repulsed, imho. I certainly am.
