baffles me too, i guess it could be a sign how difficult other available tools are to use for that kind of chat group...or a sign that even in a freedom tech conscious group there isnt that many people that are willing to venture outside the easy mode tools 🤷♂️

Exactly my issue, not all the folks around me are privacy conscious like i was telling a friend i was logged out of my emails and a couple other apps because i lost my Authy access he was like what do i have to hide i'm too paranoid lol got back access btw i tried forcing everyone around to use signal if they wanted to message me a while back by deleting whatsapp didn't work most of my job communications are done through it so i've decided to get another number and phone for work
