That's kinda the impression I get of the hordes of java devs, though I've never tried it and don't know what they're using to build this. Just seems like most coders do pretty front end stuff but probably couldn't make a board go blinky. That's an exaggeration... but still...

Many started as prototypes and got enough traction to continue developing. That explains many of the easily avoidable issues they had or still have.
So it's commiseration.
Finally after 18 months they solved basic resource limiting problems that are bread and butter for full stack devs.
My problem is, we are all learning and this cult celebrity culture is making them emphasise features instead of stability.
Definitely, not disagreeing there.
