My pet conspiracy theory is that Bitcoin was invented to give the elite a deflationary option that can continue to function during engineered population decline. Inflationary fiat can’t survive population deflation. The problem is they miscalculated. All of their Club Of Rome delusions about resource scarcity was based on the house of mirrors logic of fiat. There are actually near infinite resources when human ingenuity is applied within functional capital markets. Bitcoin removes the need to reduce population and will launch humanity into a new golden age and eventually to the stars.
